We’re proud to announce that Alessandro Desantis will be joining us as a speaker for SolidusConf 2019.
Alessandro Desantis is a developer, founder and engineering manager based in Rome. He has worked for and advised numerous startups on what makes engineers happy and productive.
More recently, he has been working for Nebulab, helping the team scale their consulting efforts and ensure the success of Solidus. More information can be found at alessandro.codes.
The talk goes into depth about the problems we are currently facing in the Solidus extensions ecosystem and how we have decided to approach them. Alessandro will talk about streamlining and automating extension maintenance with the right tools, getting rid of monkey-patching by going back to the basics of OOP, and enforcing a clear governance model that creates accountability for maintainers and the core team.
